Here’s why you need to become a MIOGE exhibitor

MIOGE is packed with bountiful benefits for participating companies. If you haven’t booked your stand already, now is the time. Need convincing? Check out these five massive reasons to exhibit at the Moscow International Oil & Gas Exhibition. Once read, we’re confident we’ll see you in Moscow next April with your own eye-catching stand.

Meet thousands of Russian oil & gas professionals

In 2018, MIOGE opened its doors to over 17,500 visitors from 64 Russian regions and 55 countries around the globe. Representatives come from the world’s hydrocarbons-rich regions. Apart from Russia, territories like Central Asia are well represented, where nations like Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan are investing heavily in developing their energy industries.
Why do they come? Simple: to find suppliers of equipment and services needed to take their energy industries to the next level. In Russia alone, 90% of project equipment is imported, making MIOGE vital part of the procurement and planning process of multi-billion-dollar oil & gas projects.
Visitors to the event read like a who’s who of Russian oil & gas majors. Gazprom, Rosneft, Lukoil, Tatneft – you name them, they will be there. Exhibiting means access to the engineers, procurement specialists and even directors and CEOs, from these massive companies.
More than 92% of MIOGE visitors are key decision makers.

Become part of the whole oil & gas value chain

Whether you’re supplying large-scale offshore drilling rigs, bespoke IT solutions, healthy and safety gear or raw project materials, you have a home at MIOGE.
Eight show sectors present the entire oil & gas supply value chain. It’s easy for professional visitors to find the solutions and technologies they want to see, and their manufacturers, in one place at one time.
As an exhibitor you can get direct, face-to-face contact with the buyers actively searching for such products – invaluable in a market that values one-on-one deal-making like Russia.

MIOGE Business Programme and Russian Petroleum & Gas Congress

Knowledge is power – especially in an industry as complex and far reaching as oil & gas. MIOGE then presents a huge range of business events, presenting 3 days of content rich events. Business programme attendees are fully furnished with the info they need to succeed into today’s ultra-competitive hydrocarbons industry.
More than 2,000 delegates take part every year.
Additionally, over 310 guest speakers are involved in each year’s content line-up. In 2018, we welcomed the likes of Schlumberger’s Russian & Central Asian President G. Saygi, P. Zavalniy, chair of the Committee on Energy, State Duma and Head of Strategy and Innovation at Gazprom Oil, S. Vakulenko.
The Russian Petroleum and Gas Congress (RPGC) is another huge draw. Held alongside MIOGE, RPGC covers the hottest topics in the industry today, with days dedicated solely to oil topics and gas insights.
As an exhibitor, you can benefit from the expert knowledge on offer at the show. What’s more, the business programme also attracts and extra 2,000 business visitors which you can meet and network with. This is an advantage you won’t find anywhere else.

Russia spends big on oil & gas projects

Away from the purely show-focussed content, Russia’s oil & gas sector is feeling confident. International sanctions can’t slow production, nor blunt investors’ enthusiasm for Russian mega-projects.
As mentioned above, over $160bn in capital expenditure is being poured into massive new oil developments and gas projects. Novatek, for instance, has spent over $25bn on its Arctic LNG 2 hub, as part of a greater $50bn regional investment programme. Gazprom is planning way over $150bn in project spending into the next decade, and the Caspian and Arctic regions are ripe for E&P.
To make these projects a success, Russian majors need to secure top quality oil & gas equipment. This is where MIOGE plays its hands. Because domestic production of specialised solutions is slim to nil, imports cover the bulk of demand.
MIOGE allows you to cater to this demand, by showcasing your goods and services to the players most intimately involved in Russia’s key oil & gas projects.

Russian oil & gas is very healthy right now

We mentioned above how oil & gas in Russia is currently in a very good place. Sanctions have not had the bite the industry feared, and the nation’s majors are forging ahead with the projects detailed earlier in this article.
Production continues to ramp up. BP’s Statistical Energy Review 2018 details Russia’s production, export, and provable reserves as of 2018: look like:
• Production: 11.2 million bpd (12.2% of global total)
• Exports: 8.6 million bpd (12.7% of global total)
• Reserves: 106.2bn barrels (6.3% of global total)
Natural gas posts similar massive figures, with huge reserves and enormous exports:
• Production: 635.6bn cubic metres (m3) (8.2% of global total)
• Exports: 215.4bn m3
• Reserves: 35 trillion m3 (18.1% of global total)
With the oil price at a 3-year high, Russian majors are taking advantage by renegotiating OPEC-led cuts and pushing ahead with production. With more production comes higher sales comes increased revenues for oil & gas companies. That means more money for spending on projects, and thusly equipment – equipment showcased at MIOGE.
